Quick Capture for Amazing Marvin

Catch a task or plan in Capture before sending it to Amazing Marvin. Create an Amazing Marvin task directly through its API, using the first captured line as the task title and any remaining text as its note.

To send a capture to Amazing Marvin, open Capture Settings, choose Export, and add Amazing Marvin as a destination. In Amazing Marvin, enable the API strategy and copy its API token. Paste the token into Capture; it is required before the destination can be saved or used. Text and phone captures use the first trimmed line as the task title and the remaining lines as its note. Links use the fetched page title as the task title when available and put the absolute URL in the note. Amazing Marvin is offered as a destination for Text and Links captures.

Set up Amazing Marvin in Capture

  2. Choose Amazing Marvin from the app picker.
  3. In Amazing Marvin, enable the API strategy and copy its API token.
  4. Paste the token into Capture; it is required before the destination can be saved or used.
  5. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • Images and files are unsupported.
  • The integration creates a task through the API without opening Amazing Marvin.
  • Capture does not expose project, label, priority, or scheduling fields for this destination.

Troubleshooting

  • If Capture rejects the destination, enable Amazing Marvin’s API strategy and paste a nonblank token.
  • If the export fails, recopy the token and check that the service is reachable.
