What gets sent to Apple Calendar

  • Text becomes the event title.
  • Links use the fetched page title as the event title and set both the event URL and notes.
  • The selected Capture date is the start; otherwise export time is used. The end is one hour later.

Set up Apple Calendar in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Apple Calendar from the app picker.
  3. Grant Capture full Calendar access so it can list calendars.
  4. Choose Default or a specific calendar, then decide whether Calendar should open after export.
  5. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Example: a quick capture to Apple Calendar

Capture “Design review” with Friday at 14:00 selected. Exporting creates an event from 14:00 to 15:00 in your chosen calendar.

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Apple Calendar export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Apple Calendar.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • The duration is fixed at one hour.
  • Images and files are not added to events.
  • Full Calendar access is required to list and save to calendars.

Troubleshooting

  • If calendars are missing, use Give access to Calendar and allow full access in system settings.
  • If the wrong calendar is used, select it explicitly instead of Default.
