Catch a task or plan in Capture before sending it to Fantastical. Create a one-hour Fantastical event from a Capture and optionally add it automatically or make an undated Capture all-day.
A quick capture workflow for Fantastical

Save the Capture without stopping to organize the destination.

Use your configured export action when the capture is ready.
What gets sent to Fantastical
- Text becomes the event title.
- Links use the fetched title as event title and include the URL in notes and the event URL field.
- A selected Capture date becomes the start; otherwise the current time is used. The end is one hour later.
- Automatically add and all-day flags are forwarded when enabled.
Set up Fantastical in Capture
- Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
- Choose Fantastical from the app picker.
- Install Fantastical and choose whether events should be added without confirmation.
- Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.
Supported Capture types
This destination appears only for content it can receive.

Example: a quick capture to Fantastical
Enable Automatically add event, capture “Team sync”, and select Friday at 10:00 in Capture. Fantastical receives a 10:00–11:00 event and adds it directly.
Send the capture
- Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Fantastical export action.
- Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Fantastical.
Limits and troubleshooting
Limits
- The duration is fixed at one hour.
- All-day only applies when the Capture has no selected start date.
- Attachments are unsupported.
Troubleshooting
- If the event time is wrong, set the date on the Capture before exporting.
- Disable Automatically add event when you want to review the event in Fantastical.
