Catch a task or plan in Capture before sending it to Linear. Open Linear’s issue composer from a Capture with team, workflow, priority, assignment, estimate, cycle, labels, project, milestone, and template prefilled.

What gets sent to Linear
- Plain text becomes the issue description; the title remains for Linear to complete.
- Links use fetched page title as issue title and URL as description.
- Configured issue fields are passed to Linear’s new-issue URL.
Set up Linear in Capture
- Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
- Choose Linear from the app picker.
- Install Linear so Capture exposes the destination.
- Add identifiers or names for the fields you need; Team is required when Project is set, and Project is required for Project Milestone.
- Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

This destination appears only for content it can receive.

Example: a quick capture to Linear
Configure Team as “ENG”, Status as “Todo”, Priority as High, and Project as “Website”. Export a bug note to open a prefilled issue in that project.
Send the capture
- Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Linear export action.
- Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Linear.
Limits and troubleshooting
Limits
- The integration opens Linear’s composer; it does not create the issue silently.
- Project requires Team, and Milestone requires both Team and Project.
- Unavailable labels and disabled team features can be ignored by Linear.
Troubleshooting
- If Capture refuses to save, satisfy the Team/Project dependency shown in the error.
- If fields are missing in Linear, verify their names or UUIDs and team feature settings.
