What gets sent to Todoist

  • Text becomes task content.
  • Links become their absolute URL as task content.
  • A selected Capture date is formatted and sent to Todoist.

Set up Todoist in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Todoist from the app picker.
  3. Install Todoist and choose a priority from 0 through 4.
  4. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Set Priority to 4, capture “Ship the release”, and select tomorrow at 09:00. Todoist opens the task with content, date, and urgency.

Send the capture

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Todoist export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Todoist.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • Images and files are unsupported.
  • Capture does not configure a Todoist project or labels.

Troubleshooting

  • If priority is unexpected, remember Todoist uses 4 as most urgent.
  • If no date appears, set a start date on the Capture before exporting.
