What gets sent to Claude

  • Text and phone captures become the q query.
  • Links send the title plus URL when link metadata exists, otherwise the URL alone.

Set up Claude in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Claude from the app picker.
  3. Install Claude. This destination has no extra fields; add it and save.
  4. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Capture a question about a research URL, then export it to Claude. A new Claude conversation opens with the link context already in the prompt field.

Send the capture

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Claude export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Claude.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • Images and files are not transferred.
  • Capture opens a new Claude conversation; it does not choose a project, model, or existing chat.

Troubleshooting

  • If nothing opens, confirm the Claude app handles the claude:// URL scheme.
  • For an image, capture explanatory text or a link instead; the image itself is unsupported.
