A quick capture workflow for Gmail

Use your configured export action when the capture is ready.
What gets sent to Gmail
- Text becomes the message body.
- Links use the fetched page title as subject when available and send the URL in the body.
- Recipient fields are prefilled from the destination configuration.
Set up Gmail in Capture
- Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
- Choose Gmail from the app picker.
- On iOS, install Gmail. On macOS, sign in to Gmail in the browser Capture opens.
- Optionally configure To, Cc, and Bcc; leaving To blank lets you choose a recipient in Gmail.
- Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Example: a quick capture to Gmail
Configure your team alias as To and yourself as Bcc. Export a project URL to open a Gmail draft with the title as subject and link in the body.
Send the capture
- Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Gmail export action.
- Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Gmail.
Limits and troubleshooting
Limits
- Images and files cannot be attached through the Gmail compose URLs.
- macOS opens Gmail’s website rather than a native Gmail app.
Troubleshooting
- If macOS shows a sign-in page, sign in to Gmail in that browser.
- If no subject appears for a link, Capture did not have cached page-title metadata.
