What gets sent to Apple Photos

  • Image attachment data is written to the Photos library.
  • After a successful save, Capture opens Photos at Recents.

Set up Apple Photos in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Apple Photos from the app picker.
  3. Grant Capture permission to add photos when prompted. This destination has no extra fields.
  4. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

There are no destination-specific configuration fields. Choose Apple Photos, keep the generated destination name or edit it, and save.

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Apple Photos export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Apple Photos.

  • Only images are supported; text, links, and non-image files are not offered.
  • The image must still have readable data.

Troubleshooting

  • If saving fails, allow Photos access in system settings.
  • If a file is not offered, verify it is recognized as an image attachment.
