Send a capture to Telegram

Quick Capture for Telegram

Get the words down in Capture, then hand them to Telegram when you are ready to share. Open a Telegram conversation for a required phone number with captured text or a link prefilled.

To send a capture to Telegram, open Capture Settings, choose Export, and add Telegram as a destination. Install Telegram and enter the receiver phone number in international format without surrounding prose. Text becomes the draft message. Links send title plus URL when metadata exists, otherwise the URL. Telegram is offered as a destination for Text and Links captures.

    Use your configured export action when the capture is ready.

What gets sent to Telegram

  • Text becomes the draft message.
  • Links send title plus URL when metadata exists, otherwise the URL.
  • The configured phone number is passed to Telegram’s resolve route.

Set up Telegram in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Telegram from the app picker.
  3. Install Telegram and enter the receiver phone number in international format without surrounding prose.
  4. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Configure your project partner’s international number and export a reference link to open that Telegram chat with the link drafted.

Send the capture

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Telegram export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Telegram.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • Images and files are unsupported.
  • A phone number is required.
  • Capture opens a draft; it does not send automatically.

Troubleshooting

  • If Capture refuses to save, provide a nonblank phone number.
  • If the wrong chat opens, verify the country code and digits.
