Use Capture as a fast inbox before an idea becomes a note in Capacities. Create a Capacities object or append a Capture to the daily note, optionally targeting a space and object type.
A quick capture workflow for Capacities

Save the Capture without stopping to organize the destination.

Use your configured export action when the capture is ready.
What gets sent to Capacities
- Text is sent as content.
- For a new object, a link title becomes the object name and the URL becomes content.
- For a daily-note append, link title and URL are joined as content.
Set up Capacities in Capture
- Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
- Choose Capacities from the app picker.
- Install Capacities, choose Create new object or Append to daily note, and add a Space ID only when you do not want the current/last active space.
- Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

This destination appears only for content it can receive.

Example: a quick capture to Capacities
Choose Append to daily note and export a link from Capture. Capacities appends the link title and URL to today’s note in the selected space.
Send the capture
- Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Capacities export action.
- Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Capacities.
Limits and troubleshooting
Limits
- Type is only used for Create new object and must match Capacities exactly.
- Capture does not validate Space IDs or object-type names.
Troubleshooting
- If an object is created in the wrong space, verify the Space ID.
- If the requested type is ignored, use the exact singular type spelling or leave it blank for a page.
