To send a capture to Mem, open Capture Settings, choose Export, and add Mem as a destination. In Mem, open Settings > API and create a key. Paste the key into Capture and optionally enter comma-separated Collection IDs. Text becomes Markdown note content. Links become a note containing the cached page title, when available, followed by the URL. Mem is offered as a destination for Text and Links captures.

What gets sent to Mem

Set up Mem in Capture
- Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
- Choose Mem from the app picker.
- In Mem, open Settings > API and create a key.
- Paste the key into Capture and optionally enter comma-separated Collection IDs.
- Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Example: a quick capture to Mem
Add your “Product ideas” collection ID, then export a Capture about onboarding. Mem receives a Markdown note inside that collection.
Send the capture
- Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Mem export action.
- Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Mem.
Limits and troubleshooting
Limits
- Images and files are unsupported.
- Content is capped at 200,000 characters and 200,000 UTF-8 bytes; Capture sends the longest safe prefix.
- An internet connection and valid API key are required.
Troubleshooting
- If export fails, recreate or recopy the API key from Mem Settings > API.
- If the note is not in a collection, verify each comma-separated collection ID.
