Quick Notes for Noted

Use Capture as a fast inbox before an idea becomes a note in Noted. Create a Noted note in a chosen notebook and optionally create that notebook or start recording immediately.

To send a capture to Noted, open Capture Settings, choose Export, and add Noted as a destination. Install Noted, optionally enter a notebook title, and choose whether to create a new notebook or start recording. Text becomes the note title because Noted’s URL scheme has no separate body field. Links join their fetched title and URL into that title field. Noted is offered as a destination for Text and Links captures.

A quick capture workflow for Noted

    Write or share the thought into Capture while it is fresh.

  2. 02Keep moving

    Save the Capture without stopping to organize the destination.

  3. 03Send to Noted

    Use your configured export action when the capture is ready.

What gets sent to Noted

  • Text becomes the note title because Noted’s URL scheme has no separate body field.
  • Links join their fetched title and URL into that title field.
  • Start Recording switches to Noted’s new-record route.

Set up Noted in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Noted from the app picker.
  3. Install Noted, optionally enter a notebook title, and choose whether to create a new notebook or start recording.
  4. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

This destination appears only for content it can receive.

Example: a quick capture to Noted

Set Notebook title to “Interviews” and enable Start Recording. Export an interview prompt to create the note and begin recording.

Send the capture

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Noted export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Noted.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • Create New Notebook requires a notebook title.
  • Images and files are unsupported.
  • All exported text is placed in Noted’s title parameter.

Troubleshooting

  • If Capture refuses to save, add a title or disable Create New Notebook.
  • If recording does not start, confirm Noted still supports its new-record URL route.
