What gets sent to Obsidian

  • Text becomes note content and includes Capture’s selected date where applicable.
  • Links use cached title as note name and the URL as content.
  • Append can add a space or newline suffix before Obsidian handles the content.

Set up Obsidian in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Obsidian from the app picker.
  3. Install Obsidian and enter a vault name or vault ID; Capture requires it.
  4. Choose Create new note or Create daily note, then configure path and write behavior.
  5. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Troubleshooting

  • If Save says Vault cannot be empty, enter the vault name or ID.
  • If content is not overwritten, turn off Append.
