Save a line or link in Capture before it becomes part of your writing in Paper. Create a new Paper file from captured text or a web link with no destination-specific options.

What gets sent to Paper

  • Text becomes file text and includes Capture’s selected date where applicable.
  • Links become title plus URL when metadata exists, otherwise the URL.

Set up Paper in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Paper from the app picker.
  3. Install Paper, add the destination in Capture, and save.
  4. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Supported Capture types

This destination appears only for content it can receive.

Fields and options

There are no destination-specific configuration fields. Choose Paper, keep the generated destination name or edit it, and save.

Send the capture

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Paper export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Paper.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • Images and files are unsupported.
  • Capture always creates a new file; it does not choose a Paper folder or existing file.

Troubleshooting

  • If Paper does not open, confirm its app URL is registered by reinstalling or updating it.
  • Use a text or link capture; other content types are hidden.
