Save a line or link in Capture before it becomes part of your writing in Ulysses. Create a Ulysses sheet from Capture with target group, input format, insertion index, and material-sheet state.

What gets sent to Ulysses
- Text becomes sheet text and includes Capture’s selected date where applicable.
- Links become title plus URL when metadata exists, otherwise the URL.
- Configured format tells Ulysses how to interpret the imported text.
Set up Ulysses in Capture
- Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
- Choose Ulysses from the app picker.
- Install Ulysses and optionally choose a group, format, index, and Material Sheet state.
- Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.
Supported Capture types
This destination appears only for content it can receive.

Example: a quick capture to Ulysses
Set Group to “Blog”, Format to Markdown, and Index to 0. New captured drafts appear first in the Blog group.
Send the capture
- Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Ulysses export action.
- Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Ulysses.
Limits and troubleshooting
Limits
- Images and files are unsupported.
- Capture does not validate group names or index bounds.
Troubleshooting
- If the sheet lands in Inbox, check Group.
- If markup renders unexpectedly, choose the matching Format.
