What gets sent to Ulysses

  • Text becomes sheet text and includes Capture’s selected date where applicable.
  • Links become title plus URL when metadata exists, otherwise the URL.
  • Configured format tells Ulysses how to interpret the imported text.

Set up Ulysses in Capture

  1. Open Capture Settings, choose Export, then tap Configure if this is your first destination or Add new destination.
  2. Choose Ulysses from the app picker.
  3. Install Ulysses and optionally choose a group, format, index, and Material Sheet state.
  4. Review the destination name and icon, then tap Save.

Example: a quick capture to Ulysses

Set Group to “Blog”, Format to Markdown, and Index to 0. New captured drafts appear first in the Blog group.

Send the capture

  1. Open an existing Capture and choose its configured Ulysses export action.
  2. Capture hands off only the supported types listed above. Complete any confirmation or compose screen shown by Ulysses.

Limits and troubleshooting

Limits

  • Images and files are unsupported.
  • Capture does not validate group names or index bounds.

Troubleshooting

  • If the sheet lands in Inbox, check Group.
  • If markup renders unexpectedly, choose the matching Format.
